Ephemeral compositions with snow on peaceful and sunny days at @authentiqueartfarm.
I’ve been fascinated by creating ephemeral art using natural elements for many years. It’s a transformative experience because it depends on nothing other than being present and what I find on-site.
Snow is great. It has different textures. I have not done much yet with it, but I can sense that I need to learn how to use it and when. In the morning, it is very different from early afternoon or later. Fresh and slightly older snow have different properties when it comes to molding.
Then, the composition disappears quickly on the plateau where we live due to temperature swings.
Playing with snow brings feelings of lightness and joy. It embodies the “leave no trace” motto –aside from the digital snapshots I have taken.
