Pollinators Clothespins Automata at Lee Mathson Middle School Makerspace

Part of Alliance for Youth Achievement free after school program for Alum Rock middle school students. The pollinator clothespin automata explore the possibilities of a simple mechanism (a clothespin) and the importance of pollinators like bees, butterflies, moths. The workshop can be extended to more pollinators like ladybugs, birds, and bats.

Each participant got a pack of wildflower seeds to plant in order to attract pollinators in our communities. Pollinators are awesome, we need them and we need to care for them if we want them to thrive.
