Part of Seeds of Abundance: Limits, Loss, and Regeneration
March 6 – April 24, 2026 · Solo exhibition at Scalehouse Gallery, Bend, Oregon
Participatory immersive installation; dried local plants, black paper, reflective dots, UV light
2026
Dried local plants glowed in a darkened room, its walls covered in black paper. Visitors were invited to place small reflective dots on the walls, and over the course of the exhibition, the dots gradually formed a luminous field of seeds, spores, or stars. After the show, the black paper was sent to recycling.
Through simple, collective gestures, the space became a living constellation of light. Bloom continues the black-light installations I have created with visitors over the years, including Plankton Soup.
